Loving the Country Life
I was sitting on the back porch thinking this morning. Probably over-analyzing, as usual. I was sitting on the couch outside and I could hear the kittens playing and the crickets and the frogs and the cows in the distance. The slight breeze made the moment that much more relaxing. What is it I couldn't hear? Traffic from the interstate. Sirens. Dogs barking everywhere. I'm enjoying knowing that my headlights at night now serve a purpose. I can see the stars in the sky as clearly as in the planetarium. Every morning, I can hear the farmer's rooster waking the cows. The shear simplicity of it all. No interstate traffic in the morning commute. We can eat breakfast at home if we want and still wake after the sun. We can come home for lunch and not risk being late from our lunch hour. Most of all, we have more time for family and togetherness. We have time now to travel half-way across the state to visit relatives. (If we weren't a housefull of sicklings at the moment!) I will miss a few things about city living, but apparently those things are so minute, I can't even think of a single thing on the spot.

Welcome to Blogger.com, me!
Yay! I have finally made the complete move to Facebook...sort of. Didn't realize this entailed moving my blog, but I was ready to start over with it anyway! The question is: Is Blogger.com ready for my crazy rants? I suppose we shall see...
